Lack of vitamins and minerals in the diet can affect the rate at which hair is lost. Studies have shown that if you are able to balance your diet, and solve vitamin deficiencies – you can significantly impact and delay hair loss.In some cases, people have even seen their hair begin to grow again, as a result of an injection of vitamins in to the diet.Vitamins that prevent hair loss are :

Vitamin A – Hair loss and dandruff are common symptoms of vitamin A deficiency.carrots, spinach, lettuce leaves, almonds, nuts, mangoes and animal liver, fish, shrimp and eggs are rich in Vitamin A.


B Vitamins – B vitamins help grow hair by aiding the body to handle stress and stress can cause hair loss. Inositol, one of the B vitamins, has been shown to speed hair growth. B12 is another B vitamin that prevents hair loss because B12 is a component of the hair itself.Vitamin B12 can be found in liver, meat, egg yolk, poultry and milk. The B Vitamins generally found in fresh fruits and vegetables, whole grains foods.The B vitamins are best taken together and are frequently sold with the label B Complex.
Vitamin C – Vitamin C also helps the body absorb iron, which is needed to grow hair. The human body does not make its own vitamin C, so food or supplement sources are required, such as fruits and vegetables.Excellent food sources of vitamin C include broccoli, bell peppers, parsley, Brussels sprouts, cauliflower, lemon juice, strawberries, mustard greens, kiwifruit, papaya, kale, cabbage, romaine lettuce, turnip greens, oranges.The recommended daily dose of vitamin C is 1000 to 2000 mg a daily.

Vitamin D – Taking vitamin D stops hair loss.Vitamin D reduces hair loss by stimulating the hair follicle and the cells that form the hair shaft.Good food sources of vitamin D include Fish,goat’s milk, shiitake mushrooms, and eggs.
