Perfect Way to Give a Manicure

The average girl doesn't have the time or money to go to a posh salon to have her nails professionally manicured. Read here to find out how to give yourself an expert manicure or pedicure in minutes. It's a fact of life I try to remember at all times because if I'm not careful I'll end up with fingernails at 5 different lengths and a hangnail or two. Here, I share 5 of my most favorite manicure tips.

  • Prepare your nails: Remove previous polish by rubbing a Q-tip or cotton ball dipped in low-acetone remover on your nails. Dip your hands/feet one at a time in warm, soapy water, dry thoroughly with a soft towel. Then, put some sugar or salt in a dish and pour on some olive oil. Massage the scrub into your hands/feet, rinse than dry. If you want, you can rub extra oil (without sugar) into cuticles.
  • Apply a base coat: You don't have to, but it is recommended as it helps the staying power of the manicure. Use a cuticle remover to push back your cuticles.
  • Apply polish: Do the first coat, and when it dries, then the second coat. The best method for painting nails is painting a stripe down the middle and then down each side. Dip a Q-tip in remover and rub any stray polish that ends up on your fingers.
  • Apply top-coat: Make sure the polish is completely dry before you do so. If you want to add a sheer color or sparkle polish over the base polish, do so under the top-coat.
  • Allow your nails to dry: For an extra spa feeling to your home pedicure, nuke a damp towel in the microwave for a couple minutes, slather feet in moisturizer and wrap them in the warm towel.

Effect of Holi on Skin and Hairs

From among all the festivals of India, Holi is the most exciting and colorful festival. In fact, Holi is the symbol of colors, often called as festival of colors. In past times, this festival was celebrated by producing natural colors with the help of natural flowers and many household ingredients. With the modernization on the peak, people in greed produces so called now holi colors by mixing various chemicals. Basically chemical colors have a negative effect on people as they are chemically made. This negative effect is in form of skin rashes and allergies, eye redness, dry hair, breathing problems etc. Asiding all these effects, people of India cannot afford to miss the occasion of merrymaking with colors. So we play the festival of Holi in a great sense and with a great sense of freedom too. To make this Holi unforgettable and safe, one should take some serious precautions and measures. here are some hair care and skin care tips for a safe and joyful Holi this year:
  1. Applying lotions and oils before playing Holi: First and foremost step before playing Holi is to make up first shield that is wearing comfortable clothes. Wear those clothes that covers your maximum body. Make sure that your cloths are made up of cotton as cotton clothes absorbs most. Apply some greasepaint oils and lotions. Best oily liquid can either be coconut oil or mustard oil. Spread it all over the exposed body as well as the unexposed body for better protection. Now i'm going to surprise you by saying that females should apply nail polish to protect there nails. For face, apply petroleum jelly such as Vaseline inside ears, behind ears, on lips, and all over face. One should be very particular and secure of her ears, as ears are the only part where color gets stuck. For hairs, apply hair oil that can either be coconut oil or mustard oil. Oily liquid forms a protective layer on one's skin and hair that prevents the color from going deep into the skin or hair roots. After applying oil, apply sunscreen lotion rating hpf15, this will prevent UV rays. The combination of UV rays with chemical colors is very hazardous.

  2. More usage of Herbal Colors: As everyone is well informed about the use of only the herbal colors, but here what i'm going to describe is something you'll find very useful. Everyone is not very kind hearted that he/she is going to bring herbal colors to greet you with. So its better to be clever at all times. However, you can buy a lot of herbal colors and offer to play with them only. Natural herbal colors cost more but they save grands of cash spend on Dermatologist and other medical procedures. Genuine herbal colors have there own properties that they are soft, one must it like a talc or refined flour and not grainy or grity. One can also make natural colors at home by natural ingredients.

  3. Gently Removing of Holi Colors: First try to remove the dry colors by rubbing your hand against the body parts. Its good to remove excessive color as when they get, they try to get permanent and hence more difficult to remove it. Wash off hair first with plain water so that most of the color so that most of the color comes of easily and gently. After this use soft that is a mild conditioning shampoo so that the color stuck in  between hairs could wash out. Removing color won't be a tough job if you have followed the 1st point of this post. Next removing color from the skin, first wash the skin with lukewarm water. Next rub some lemon extracts or lemon juice as lemon is a natural bleaching agent that helps remove stains easily and gently. Also apply lotions and leave it for at least 10-20 minutes. Wash it of with a mild and creamy soap like Dove as it has maximum proportion of moisturizing cream that helps cleansing out colors easily. One can also apply homemade tricks. One that is applying curd mixed with gram flour and milk. It will indirectly soften the skin. Many girls apply bleach and waxing but you'll be surprised to know that applying bleach and wax on the skin where color is there, it will eventually put double rashes as trio bleaching, waxing, colors dehydrate the skin to its peak.

HEALTHY HAIR TIPS

Healthy Hair is something that we all long for, yet it can be rather elusive. Instead of shining tresses full of life, we end up with limp locks. Our hair is such a significant part of our appearance that when we´re not happy with it, we feel dispirited. So what can you do to turn your hellish hair into your crowning glory? Try these top tips for healthy hair.

1. Heat: Heat is the enemy of happy hair.If you use a hairdryer and straighteners every day, your hair will soon end up dry, brittle and prone to breakages. So wherever possible, let your hair dry naturally, and use heated rollers or straighteners a couple of times a week at most.

2.Hairbrush: Do not use a hairbrush until your hair is dry; the wet hair can be easily damaged. Avoid plastic hairbrushes; hair will probably end up in knots.

3. Massage: Gentle massage will help stimulate the hair follicles (as well as being rather pleasant and relaxing). Besides, we are constantly growing new hairs to replace the old ones, so massage will help produce healthy new hairs.

4. BrushAlso brush your hair before washing it; this not only removes the loose hairs (and stops them blocking the sink), but also gets rid of some of the dirt. Also remember: never brush your hair when it´s wet, but use a wide-toothed comb.

5. Diet: Firstly, eat a good diet. Secondly, don´t follow faddish or crash diets, as your hair won´t get the nutrients it requires. Lots of fresh fruit and vegetables provide the vitamins, and eat enough protein.

6. Protection from Sunlight: Most people don´t even consider that their hair needs protecting from the sun, just like their skin. If the sun is very strong, however, it can dry out your hair. So when you´re on holiday, or if you live in a hot climate, wear a hat or use a sun protection spray so that you have healthy hair.
